You set me free from pain and fear
I am still with you, in your heart-
No bond was broken, nothing torn apart
So dry your tears, for I am here
Despite your mourning, I am near -
R.M. Williams
You know when you find out a loved one dies...be it human or your 4 legged best friend. The first process is always grief...but once you have had some time and start talking to others who understand your pain, then the things that you remember make you smile instead of cry....for instance...when Ike found out that Tizzy had passed, one of the first things he remembered was the day he was in the ring with her and showed her a piece of liver and she took his thumb off!!! He was bleeding bad and someone found him a stack of paper towels and some electrical tape and he had to use that as a make-shift bandage until he could get through the class, Tizzy ended up taking a big open brindle class that day but Ike had to nurse that sore thumb the whole weekend. :) Tina Starr, who also handled Tizzy for us said one time when she went to take Tizzy around the ring, she threw a piece of bait to get Tizzy to start moving out and Tizzy almost ended up in the Grand Stands...that was the last time she tried that. LOL Susan Kelly, Kelly Boxers remembers the time that this little puppy walked into the ring in San Antonio and stole the show taking Winners Bitch and beating her Kelsey. What I think I'll remember is the friend that Tizzy brought to me. If Donna had not found her a wonderful conformation dog, then found Ike to handle her, I would not have made a dear friend. I could always count on Donna to take my place when I couldn't be at the shows with Ike and there was no one who wanted Tizzy to get that Ch in front of her name more than me...well maybe Donna, but no one else after that. :) Tizzy was a joy to be around and you always knew when you handed her off and she entered that ring, she would show her heart out.
Throughout the next few days, Donna will send me more information that she would like to share about Tizzy, so please check back often and read the updates. But for now we say.....Give'um Hell up there Tizzy!!!!! Karen McCrory
