Sass was my 2nd dog. I had planned to space my dogs out about 5 years apart but that went out of the window when a close friend and mentor, Charlene Cuthbert, kept sending me pictures of a certain puppy. She had plans to get a puppy from her daughter's litter and was encouraging me to get the one they called Sass. They said Sass was an alpha bitch and I said "no way"...not with Juno. But next thing you know "yes way"!! and here came Sass from Laura Cuthbert of Falmark Boxers. She was more for obedience but was kind of on the fence for conformation..and she is the one who helped me get my feet wet in the conformation ring and fall prey to the "show bug". I never did point her but I had loads of fun. Despite having both of her cruciate ligaments replaced, she did very well in the obedience ring, including obtaining her UD title. She has the most wonderful "work ethic"; her goal in life was to please me in any way she could and invariably, she did!! Not to say she didn't put her own spin on it sometimes, but hey, she is a Boxer after all. Even though unplanned, Sass, in a lot of ways, has been one of my best dogs.
