Juno turned 14 years old on October 16, 2006. Thank goodness no one has told her she is an old lady!!! She is a very special old girl and my first Boxer. My son actually was the one who wanted a Boxer and I said "no way"...they are mean and they drool but he insisted. So I set out to research about the breed and found out quite differently and we acquired Juno. Juno wasn't a conformation dog but she did do obedience where she acquired her CDX title. Mostly though, she was.....and still is, just a sweet girl (well old lady now). LOL
Age is taking it's toll and she's almost all gray now, as can be seen from the pictures to the left, and her eyes and ears aren't so great, plus she's a bit weak in the rear, but hey, what can you expect at this age!. She's begun to enjoy going to the dog shows as long as she gets to be in the front of Ike's motorhome.....not crated in the back with those "other" dogs. And of course, Ike grants her these privileges...actually everyone at the dog shows spoils her rotten and she just loves all the attention. She begs for treats without any pride and looks back at me when I fuss at her as if to say....hey they "wanted" to give it to me...what could I do? LOL So if you are at a dog show in the Texas and surrounding States and see a grand old gal around Ike's rig, be sure to stop and say hello...and it helps if you bring treats!!!! LOL
